HONORS AND AWARDS COMMITTEE
Mission
This committee shall make recommendations to the Board of Trustees on honors
or awards to be bestowed by MOA (except for Presidential Citations).
Each winter this committee meets to select the MSUCOM Outstanding Senior
Award.
The Outstanding Senior Award is the prestigious award presented to a graduating
senior of the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM).
The award is based on several important aspects of the osteopathic philosophy:
academic excellence, professional involvement, public service, and student
leadership. The winner is announced at the MSUCOM commencement ceremony. In
May, the winner receives a cash award and commenemorative plaque during the
House of Delegates at the MOA’s Annual Prostgraduate Convention
& Scientific Seminar.
